The procedures can also be done through your securities company. No charges apply in either case.

Since forms are obtainable by post, please confirm the address for requests at The Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co., Ltd. Home Page. Stock certificates need not be submitted; the procedures can be completed by sending the form reporting the changes along with a stock ownership form.

Q : Please tell me about the stock splits which have occurred since the stock was listed.

A : The stock has split and was issued as follows since it was first listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange:

Q : How should I dispose of odd lots of stocks (amounts under 100)?

A : An application requesting the purchase of odd lots is necessary. Fill out the required information on the form, include your stock certificate, and submit these to either the securities division of The Sumitomto Trust & Banking Co. or any of its branches. (A stock certificate is not required if one was never issued.)

Q : Please tell me about your shareholders’ meetings. Also, what conditions apply to voting rights at the shareholders’ meetings?

A : Our company’s annual shareholders’ meetings take place every year in late May. To obtain voting rights at the meetings, you must have been a registered shareholder as of the last day of February (or be on the list of bona-fide shareholders). To become registered, it is necessary for you to have owned at least one unit of stock (1,000 shares) issued by our company as of the fourth business day before the last day of February (a business day of The Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co., which is the agent for the registration lists.)

Q : Do you hold shareholders’ roundtables and other such events? Do people living in regional areas have the opportunity to meet with your managers?

A : Roundtables and other such events are currently not being held either in Tokyo or regions outside the capital. However, we would greatly appreciate hearing opinions on the company's management from all our stockowners during our shareholders’ meetings.
